Amazon announced on November 28th that it will invest over SGD 2 billion (approximately USD 1.5 billion) in Singapore in 2023, creating over 10000 indirect jobs in the fields of construction, logistics, and other professional services.
According to the statement, Amazon's investments in Singapore last year involved retail and cloud businesses, including capital expenditures on improving existing infrastructure, as well as operational expenses on technology and security.
