New Beijing News (Chief Reporter Guo Tie) During the 7th CIIE, global healthcare company Abbott showcased its full line of medical nutrition solutions. Its special medical product "Ansu Beijia", upgraded version of Abbott's "Quanan Su", and nutrition self-test mini program were launched at the CIIE, promoting the silver haired economy. As a partner of Real Madrid Football Club and Foundation, Abbott booth also set up a Real Madrid interactive area to showcase the cooperation achievements of both sides in the fields of sports and technology.
According to official data, the elderly population aged 60 and above in China has approached 300 million, accounting for 21% of the total population, and the trend of deep aging is becoming increasingly significant. Wu Haiying, Vice President of Abbott's Nutritional Products Business Unit, stated that Abbott has developed innovative medical nutritional products that are suitable for the elderly in China based on their nutritional status. The new generation of Abbott Amphotericin, which made its debut at the China International Import Expo in 2023, has now transformed from an exhibit to a commodity. The Ansu Beijia new product launched by Abbott in 2024 is a result of local research and innovation, and the added CaHMB and whey protein components help maintain muscle health.
In China, Abbott is committed to cultivating local professionals in the field of nutrition. Since 2005, Abbott has launched a 20-year advanced training course on total nutrition therapy, aimed at helping Chinese medical staff deepen their understanding of nutrition and improve their clinical nutrition treatment level. So far, the course has covered over 30000 healthcare workers.
