On November 5th, the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) kicked off in Shanghai. This year marks Stryker's fourth active participation in the China International Import Expo, with a total of six exhibition areas showcasing cutting-edge innovative technologies and products in the fields of joint and Mako robots, endoscopes, power, trauma, nerve intervention, and emergency medical care.
It is reported that Stryker showcased a total of six Chinese debut products at this year's CIIE, including the Mako Smart Joint Robot Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) 4.0 system, which adds "Functional Hip Preoperative Planning" and "Dynamic Impact Simulation" functions, and improves surgical accuracy and hip joint stability; MDM dual action total hip joint system that can provide good stability and effectively reduce the risk of hip dislocation after hip surgery; SPY PHI open fluorescence imaging system; IsoTour anti pressure ulcer turning mattress with honeycomb structure design and "microclimate management" that can effectively prevent the occurrence of pressure ulcers; The Stair Pro stretcher, which uses Stryker's patented technology, Stair TREAD, to help patients reliably and controllably descend stairs; MedporTSI porous polymer polyethylene repair material is used to repair saddle bone defects in various nasal canal surgeries.
In addition to the first exhibition and showcase of the exhibits, Stryker also brought two medical technologies that have achieved the transformation of "exhibits into commodities". For example, InSpace can absorb implantable balloons, which were approved for marketing in China in July this year; Sonopet iQ is a newly upgraded ultrasound surgical suction system that combines both soft and hard functions. It can simultaneously meet the three major functions of soft tissue suction, bone tissue polishing, and cutting, greatly improving the efficiency and safety of brain tumor and orthopedic surgery. At this year's CIIE, Stryker will officially release this product.
