I applied for the position of anchor, but I didn't expect to resign after working for several months and found out that I had to pay additional training fees; I am applying for the position of sales assistant. As soon as I entered the interview company, I found that the lobby was a training area filled with spot traders who were monitoring the market; Suddenly received an interview invitation from a company that had not submitted a resume, clicked on the evaluation email, and was surprised to find a download link for an unknown software
There are various types of recruitment scams, how can job seekers avoid them? On October 30th, BOSS Direct Recruitment Security Center released a batch of typical cases of false recruitment, including various typical problems such as "recruitment transfer training", franchise fees, brushing orders, etc., which are currently "using recruitment as a pretext to attract traffic".
There are many recruitment scams, but they are all rooted in their roots. The key is to remember one thing: be extra careful of anything that does not conform to the norm, "said the BOSS direct hiring security manager. What does it mean to be unconventional? If it is possible to exchange contact information through the functions of the recruitment platform, recruiters use variant numbers, QR codes, etc. to guide job seekers to contact them outside the site; The salary indicated by the job title is high, but the job threshold is low, and it can even be done from home.
The above person in charge reminds job seekers to be cautious when sending personal resumes and contact information, and to stay on the platform for communication as much as possible. If you encounter any abnormal recruiters during job hunting, be sure to provide evidence as soon as possible and report it to the platform. Develop the habit of leaving a 'trace' during the job search process, and save chat records, correspondence documents, etc. with recruiters. The more detailed the content of the report, the more accurate and rapid the platform's judgment will be
Case 1: Transforming from a training scam to becoming a boss for 600 yuan?
In July of this year, the BOSS direct recruitment offline job review team "Iron Wall" discovered during an on-site verification process that a beauty salon was recruiting "beauty apprentices" under the guise of enticing job seekers to make purchases.
During their on-site visit, members of the 'Iron Wall' discovered that the company was displaying slogans that read 'You can become a boss with just 600 yuan, attract shareholders and partners'. The person in charge of the company stated that after paying, the company will provide free training for inexperienced job seekers on beauty treatments. Upon completion of the training, job seekers can use the company's bed equipment to find clients on their own and receive daily wages. It is equivalent to becoming a partner of the company for only 600 yuan, and starting a light asset business without investing in opening a store or paying rent.
The company's use of the name 'beauty apprentice' to induce job seekers to consume may constitute false recruitment. According to the platform rules, BOSS Direct Recruitment will intercept the company's position.
BOSS Direct Hiring Security Officer Reminder: Job seeking fee scams are constantly changing. Whether it's asking for "training fees" or "franchise fees", as long as you charge, be cautious. We work to earn money, not to spend money.
Case 2: There are many contract traps for "clothing anchors"
In recent years, live streaming sales have become a new growth point for e-commerce, and the demand for corresponding positions has rapidly increased. As a result, the industry has spawned "slackers" who exploit job seekers' aspirations and information gaps to engage in illegal traffic diversion.
Previously, "Iron Wall" conducted offline visits to live streaming companies and found that a few companies would induce job seekers to sign anchor agency agreements with "overbearing clauses" instead of labor contract agreements when they joined. If job seekers are required to work for at least a certain amount of time or live stream for a certain period of time, if they resign early or the live stream duration is insufficient, they will need to pay training fees or a huge penalty for breach of contract. If job seekers do not carefully review and sign unfair anchor agency agreements, they may face litigation/arbitration risks in the event of termination.
BOSS directly hired safety officer reminds: Firstly, it is necessary to sign a formal labor contract before joining. Secondly, pay attention to the provisions in the contract. Some companies may require job seekers to sign cooperation agreements instead of labor contracts protected by labor laws, and there are often "overbearing clauses" in the agreements.
Case Three: Applying for Sales and Becoming a "Spot Trader"
A type of company is nominally recruiting "sales specialists" and "sales assistants", but in reality it is recruiting inexperienced traders.
In such scams, companies usually provide unified training for job seekers to invest and operate on spot trading platforms. Some companies also allow job seekers to use company funds to operate their businesses, and if the losses exceed a certain range, they need to pay compensation. At the same time, under the guidance of company rhetoric, job seekers who are eager to make money may also lose more of their own funds and so-called "agency fees".
BOSS directly hired security officer reminds: When arriving at the interview location, pay more attention to observing the company environment. If the names of online and offline companies do not match, be sure to pay attention. If the actual business of the company does not match the job description, a question mark should be added.
Case 4: Beware of being lured into downloading unknown apps when pies fall from the sky
In October of this year, a job seeker suddenly received an email from a company that had not submitted their resume before. The email invited the job seeker to attend an interview and provided detailed information on the position, salary, and benefits to be interviewed. After the job seeker replied to their location as requested, the company sent them their office address.
The office address actually exists, but it is not the location of the company. After replying to the second email, the company sent another email inviting job seekers to download the app and conduct a "comprehensive ability assessment", which only supports opening on mobile phones. If job seekers download the app, they may be tempted to engage in illegal activities such as brushing orders, and in more serious cases, their bank account information may be stolen.
It should be noted that in addition to sending invitations via email, such fraudulent companies may also contact job seekers through phone calls, text messages, and other means.
BOSS Direct Hiring Security Officer Reminder: First of all, there is no such thing as a pie in the sky. If you invite you for an interview or even employment without submitting your resume, you should be more careful. Secondly, do not believe those who constantly induce you to download unknown software.
Case 5: False job position and fees were originally charged by black intermediaries
In June of this year, a job applicant applied for a clerical assistant position at a media company. The position only requires proficiency in using office software and a salary of 7-10k yuan. After exchanging resumes, the recruiter stated that the actual salary is 6k and there are five insurances after the probation period. The job seeker was a bit hesitant, and the other party also stated that there was a commission for the project, purely administrative, and no sales nature. Afterwards, the company sent the interview address, which did not match the location on the recruitment platform. The job seeker raised a question, and the other party replied, "The platform is the workplace, and the interview location is the headquarters
After passing the interview, the other party also stated that they needed to pay 600 yuan for customized work clothes to join, but the job seeker refused. Afterwards, the other party proposed to pay six to seven hundred yuan to participate in the medical examination arranged by the company, which can be reimbursed later. The job seeker stated that they went to the hospital for the physical examination, but after the examination report was released, the recruiter once again asked the job seeker to pay to go to the hospital arranged by the company for the examination, citing that the report was not issued by a tertiary hospital.
In fact, these types of companies are black intermediaries disguised as media companies, often using "low requirements, high salaries" clerical jobs to attract traffic and deceive job seekers into paying for medical examination fees, workwear fees, etc.
BOSS Direct Hiring Security Officer Reminder: In case of any abnormality, there must be a demon. Beware of all tempting positions with low requirements and high salaries, and do not accept any positions that charge fees before joining, regardless of the reason.
