On October 15th, Wenyuan Zhixing WeRide officially released its new generation mass-produced Robotaxi - GXR. According to Wenyuan Zhixing, this car is currently the most spacious mass-produced Robotaxi model in the world.
As a mass-produced Robotaxi model, GXR has industry-leading L4 level open road operation capability, which can easily cope with complex scenarios such as morning and evening rush hour, mixed traffic of people and vehicles, and high-speed driving at night.
The GXR is equipped with the new generation of sensor suite Sensor Suite 5.6 from Wenyuan Zhixing, featuring a low wind resistance streamlined and compact design. It has over 20 sensors including high-performance and low-cost LiDAR, high-definition and high dynamic camera, RTK high-precision combined inertial navigation module, etc. It can achieve 360& deg; No blind spots, no blind spot perception within 200 meters ahead, covering extreme scenes such as high dynamics and low lighting.
GXR has a comprehensive redundant system including architecture, F-O line controlled chassis, computing unit, and braking, which can effectively avoid single point failure and safeguard passenger travel safety. The new HPC 2.0 high-performance computing platform can provide over 1300 TOPS of AI computing power, efficiently meeting the computing needs of the entire vehicle.
The GXR has a length of 5018mm, a clear height of 1340mm, and a wheelbase of 3100mm, and is the first to eliminate the passenger seat, freeing up more front space for passengers and achieving the best "occupancy rate" in the Robotaxi field. The effective legroom of the second row exceeds 0.5 meters, and the effective legroom of the third row exceeds 0.4 meters, fully satisfying the stretching freedom of each passenger.
The GXR also features a hidden B-pillar design, with both the front and side sliding doors opening simultaneously. The maximum opening space is 1831mm wide and 1285mm high, forming a super large door opening for passengers to easily get on and off the vehicle.
In addition, GXR also has a dedicated carry on luggage area, which can accommodate at least one carry on backpack and one 22 inch suitcase. With one door opening, luggage loading and passenger boarding can be completed without bypassing the trunk, saving time and effort, especially suitable for business travelers' travel needs.
