Today, the latest report from market research firm TechInsights pointed out that in the third week of the launch window, Apple's iPhone 16 Pro model continues to maintain strong demand.
TechInsights stated that compared to the 2023 iPhone 15 series, this year's shipping cycle has been shortened. In the second week of the launch window, this trend continues as demand for iPhone 16 and 16 Plus in the first tier market begins to decrease, with delivery cycles shortened by 1-2 weeks compared to the same period last year. However, at the same time, the delivery cycle of iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max has remained relatively stable on a weekly basis.

Specifically, TechInsights has sorted out the delivery status of four iPhone 16 series models in the five major markets of China, the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, and India. It can be found that, except for Japan, the delivery cycle of iPhone 16 and 16 Plus in the other four countries has been shortened, which was 7-10 working days a week ago. In contrast, the delivery time for iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max is longer, indicating an increase in demand for these two models in major markets.
TechInsights pointed out that although the delivery time of iPhone 16 and 16 Plus continued to shorten in the third week of the release window, the demand for the Pro series in major markets remained strong. In most countries, the delivery time for iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max has not changed, and in China, the delivery time has even increased, currently approaching the record of 35 days set by the 15 Pro Max last year.
Generally speaking, the delivery cycle of various models is usually significantly shortened week by week, and the current delivery situation of iPhone 16 Pro models can be described as unconventional. Regarding this, the aforementioned institution stated that this may indicate that Apple's future shipments will include more combinations of high-end models.
Today, influenced by the above news, Hong Kong stock concept stocks such as Apple briefly rose. As of press time, Sunny Optical Technology has risen by a maximum of 8.17% and is currently up 0.73%, while BYD Electronics has risen by a maximum of 4.75% and is currently up 0.16%.
According to a research report by Tianfeng Securities on September 26th, the waiting time for the launch of the new iPhone 16 has been shortened, partly due to supply side disturbances in the same period last year, and there is no need to be overly pessimistic about demand in the short term. It is predicted that the sales of new phones this year will be close to the same level as last year, and high-end models will be more popular in the overall product structure. We continue to be optimistic that the opening of Apple's three-year innovation cycle will boost the performance of Apple suppliers.
Guojin Securities' research report on October 7th stated that AI empowers consumer electronics and is expected to bring new demand for machine replacement. We continue to be optimistic about AI driven, consumer electronics innovation/demand recovery, and independent controllability, with a focus on the semiconductor recovery and valuation repair benefiting the industry chain.
