On November 6th, Baidu announced a new round of cadre promotion and rotation through internal email: Wang Yunpeng, Baidu Vice President and General Manager of the Autonomous Driving Business Unit, was promoted to Vice President of the Group and served as the head of Baidu's Intelligent Driving Business Group (IDG), reporting to the CEO; Senior Vice President of the Group, Li Zhenyu, no longer serves as the head of IDG, rotating as the assistant CEO and chairman of the Group's Technology Ethics Committee, reporting to the CEO.
According to public information, Wang Yunpeng joined Baidu in April 2012 and has been serving as the head of the autonomous driving business unit since February 2018.
It is understood that in its internal email, Baidu emphasized that it hopes that Wang Yunpeng will lead IDG and combine Baidu's deep accumulation and years of layout in the AI field to accelerate the commercialization implementation.
