On September 12th, sources familiar with the matter revealed that General Mills is in deep negotiations to sell its North American yogurt business for over $2 billion. Insiders say that the New York listed company has been discussing selling its US and Canadian businesses, including the Yoplait brand, to French dairy companies Groupe Lactalis and Sodiaal, respectively. (Bloomberg)
