Canada has banned the use of the AO Kaspersky Lab application on government-issued mobile devices.

The Canadian Fiscal Council, which is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Government of Canada, stated on Monday that officials considered the applications “to pose an unacceptable risk to privacy and security”.

The Government of Canada indicated that the ban would enter into force immediately.
