On the morning of November 4th (Saturday), the US President's Special Envoy for Climate Change, John Kerry, and China's Special Envoy for Climate Change, Xie Zhenhua, began a high-risk meeting throughout the day. They held in-depth discussions on addressing the climate crisis, strengthening execution, and promoting the success of COP28 (the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference). This meeting is seen as a crucial step in paving the way for the United Nations Climate Summit to be held in Dubai later this month.
The meeting will be held from November 4th to 7th at Sunnylands Resort in Ranchomira, California, with the conference room located at Sunnylands Center& Inside the white main building of Gardens. This park covers an area of 15 acres and has over 70 types of plants and reflection pools, making the environment very pleasant. During the meeting, the park implemented full martial law, with staff guarding the entrance of the conference room and all entrance gates closed. Guards and vehicles patrolled to ensure the smooth progress of the meeting.
Currently, Sunnylands Center& Gardens has been marked on the map and website as closed from November 11th to 9th, and has been open to the public before. Responsibilities and Opportunities under Climate Change

Differences of Opinion and Global Response
