China and Europe will hold talks on EU tariffs on electric vehicles from China. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hopes that the European side will show sincerity. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian presided over a regular press conference. Bloomberg reporters asked that Chinese officials and EU officials will hold talks in Brussels regarding the EU's imposition of tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. What message and goals does China hope to convey through this meeting? Lin Jian stated that China has always upheld the utmost sincerity and is committed to resolving issues through dialogue and consultation, and has put forward suggestions for flexible solutions. We hope that the European side will show sincerity and take action, and seriously consider the reasonable concerns and suggestions of the Chinese industry. If the European Commission insists on its own way, China will take necessary measures to firmly defend the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises and industries.
