As global central banks stand at a crossroads of monetary policy shift, the attention of financial markets is focused on next week's Jackson Hole Global Central Bank Annual Meeting. On August 15th local time, the latest schedule released by the Federal Reserve shows that Federal Reserve Chairman Powell will deliver a keynote speech at the annual meeting at 10am Eastern Time on August 23rd (10pm Beijing Time on August 23rd). The market expects Powell to provide monetary policy clues during his opening speech at the annual meeting. With the continuous cooling of inflation in the United States, it is highly likely that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates in September this year. According to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's FedWatch tool, the likelihood of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates by 25 basis points in September is 70.5%, and the likelihood of a 50 basis point rate cut is 29.5%.
