On July 27th, NIO Chairman Li Bin announced at the "2024 NIO Innovation and Technology Day" that the world's first 5-nanometer high-performance intelligent driving chip, NIO's "Shenji NX9031", has been successfully taped out.
It is reported that as the industry's first advanced intelligent driving chip manufactured using 5-nanometer automotive technology, NIO's "Shenji NX9031" chip and underlying software have been independently designed. Li Bin believes that the "Shenji NX9031" chip will further strengthen NIO's advantage in intelligent driving.
For the reason of self-developed intelligent driving chips, Li Bin explained that intelligent electric vehicles have once again become the high ground of technological innovation, and AI will become the core basic capability of intelligent electric vehicle enterprises. A successful intelligent electric vehicle company must be a successful AI company.
In addition, NIO's full range operating system "SkyOS · Tianshu" has been fully released, which features high bandwidth, low latency, high computing power and heterogeneous hardware, cross domain integration, flexible and continuous evolution, high reliability, and information security.
