FedEx appoints Ms. Xu Baoyan as the President of China

FedEx announced today that Chen Jialiang, the current Senior Vice President and President of China at FedEx, will officially retire on August 16, 2024. Xu Baoyan, the current Vice President of Operations at FedEx China, will take over as Senior Vice President and President of China on August 1, 2024.
Chen Jialiang has been serving FedEx for nearly 40 years. He has been responsible for the Chinese business since 1998, leading the development of the Chinese market blueprint. Under his leadership, FedEx has continuously expanded its scale and business in China, maintaining a leading development momentum in the industry. At present, FedEx's international and domestic express delivery services cover most major cities and regions in China, with nearly 11000 employees.
Pei Jiahua, president of FedEx Asia Pacific, said, "This year marks the 40th anniversary of FedEx's development in China. China has grown into an important market for FedEx, which can not be separated from Mr. Chen Jialiang's highly forward-looking leadership, unique management philosophy and high dedication. The layout and accumulation of FedEx in China over the past 40 years have laid a solid foundation for future development, for which I would like to express my heartfelt thanks. At the same time, I am also pleased to announce that Xu Baoyan will serve as the president of China. She has worked in FedEx for more than 30 years, has served in several departments, and has accumulated rich professional knowledge, which will help her to blossom in her new position. I believe that she has a profound understanding of the Chinese market Insight and strategic vision will take FedEx's development in China to a new height."
Xu Baoyan came to China in 1994 and has served as the Managing Director of FedEx in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing. During her tenure as Vice President of Operations for FedEx China, she further strengthened her ground and port operations capabilities and promoted FedEx's sustainable development practices and innovation in China. During her tenure at FedEx, she played a leading role in market development, customs clearance process development, network and service expansion.
The Chinese market occupies an important position in FedEx's global development strategy. Xu Baoyan said, "I am honored to lead FedEx China and continue to work sincerely with the passionate and outstanding FedEx China team.
