MediaTek and Qualcomm's flagship Q4 smartphone chip, TSMC's 3nm, add another big order. MediaTek and Qualcomm's new wave of 5G smartphone flagship chips will be launched in the fourth quarter, both of which are produced using TSMC's 3nm process and have recently entered the production phase. TSMC has added another big order, and it is understood that its 3nm family process capacity customers have been queuing up until 2026. With the support of TSMC's 3nm process, the performance of the Dimensity 9400 in all aspects should be further improved, becoming a powerful tool for MediaTek to seize the market. Although Qualcomm has not yet announced the launch time and details of the new generation flagship chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, it is believed that the chip is also produced using TSMC's 3nm process and will be launched in the fourth quarter. The price may be 25% to 30% higher than the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with each unit priced between $220 to $240.
