Specifically, on June 19th, Berkshire reduced its holdings of BYD shares to 2017500 shares, with an average trading price of HKD 234.57 per share. At this price, Buffett's total cash out of this reduction is approximately HKD 473 million.
According to the disclosure rules of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, disclosure is only required for major shareholders to increase or decrease their holdings of stocks when they cross a certain integer percentage. This is also the 15th time that the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has disclosed Berkshire's reduction in its stake in BYD.
Berkshire has reduced its stake in BYD for the first time since August 24, 2022. At present, Berkshire's shareholding in BYD shares has decreased from 19.92% on August 24, 2022 to 5.99%, and the number of shares has also decreased from 225 million to 65.8531 million.
