Kuala Lumpur, June 21 (Xinhua) - A Boeing 738 aircraft operated by Malaysia Airlines on the MH199 flight from Hyderabad, India to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the early hours of the 20th local time in India. Due to engine problems after takeoff, it turned back and landed in Hyderabad.
Malaysia Airlines issued a statement on the 20th confirming that the flight found engine problems during the climb process after takeoff and turned back. The aircraft has been grounded and undergoing inspection. Malaysia Airlines stated that both crew members and passengers landed safely and will arrange for passengers on other flights to complete their journey.
It is reported that there were over 130 passengers on the flight at that time. A suspected plane malfunction scene displayed by local Malaysian media shows that the aircraft's engine was continuously sparking. (End)
