A Boeing aircraft flying from New Zealand to Australia reportedly had an engine fire during an alternate landing. Queenstown International Airport in New Zealand announced that around 5:50 pm local time this afternoon, Virgin Australia Airlines Flight VA148 took off from Queenstown Airport and headed for Melbourne, Australia. But this Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which is about 10 years old, encountered problems shortly after takeoff and has now made an alternate landing at Invercajaer International Airport in New Zealand.
