Through videos, he reflected that the five-star luxury hotel had hygiene issues such as "hair on the sheets, dirty water bottles, bugs in the bathtub, and untidy linen carts." He also captured the subsequent communication process with hotel staff and duty managers. As of May 24th, a total of 4 videos have been released, attracting the attention of many netizens. "Ambitious and unreasonable" also claimed to have witnessed room cleaners using the same cloth to "wipe the toilet and the table", believing that there were management issues in the hotel. As of the evening of the 24th, we have not received any explanation, handling opinions, or apologies from the hotel group.
On May 26th, a reporter from Nandu called the Intercontinental Hotel Group hotline to inquire about this matter. The customer service representative explained that all hotels under the group have hygiene and cleanliness standards, and the InterContinental brand follows the standards of five-star luxury hotels. The reporter from Nandu immediately called the Intercontinental Hotel Beichen in Changsha, mentioning the situation reported by the online blogger. The staff responded, "The hotel always values customer feedback and strictly follows hygiene procedures and procedures to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the rooms. In addition, the hotel's rooms are inspected daily, and colleagues in the rooms are trained to comply with relevant standards."
