On May 15th, multiple netizens revealed that some employees of Microsoft China received an email from the company asking if they were willing to migrate to other regions for work, including the United States, Australia, Ireland, and other countries. The employees involved include the Azure ML team of the AI platform, and the company will be responsible for family visa issues or involve hundreds of employees.
A user told First Financial that her family's group is responsible for AI related business, and the email received shows that the group as a whole is being packaged for Ireland, and employees can also choose not to go.
Microsoft officials responded to First Financial that this is an optional internal transfer opportunity for some employees and will not affect the company's operations in China.
