According to a report by Yomiuri Shimbun on May 8th, Toyota Motor Company will begin implementing a new system in August to expand the rehire of employees aged 65 and above. In response to the increasing burden on electrification, development of autonomous driving technology, and production lines, Toyota hopes to leverage the professional knowledge and experience of its senior employees in organizational operations. In the context of sustained labor shortages, there is an increasing trend of providing more employment opportunities for the elderly.
