At the exhibition site where battery products are crowded, a unmanned "taxi in the air" Yihang EH216-S aircraft is particularly eye-catching on the booth of Juwan Technology Research. And its appearance at the battery exhibition is due to the powerful battery system carried on spacecraft.
The world's first "air taxi" shines its "ace"
The sci-fi appearance, milky white fuselage, and dazzling black rotors... This eVTOL aircraft is the world's first domestically developed "Air Taxi" Yihang EH216-S aircraft to obtain airworthiness certification.
This aircraft is pure electric, as it is "unmanned", without a joystick or dashboard, only two minimalist screens. The large windshield in front of the cockpit provides a very wide view. It is a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, capable of flying up to 120 meters, with a maximum level flight speed of 90 km/h, priced at 2.39 million yuan.
The reason why this super cool flight can be achieved is largely due to the powerful battery system it is equipped with.
It is reported that this battery is independently developed by Juwan Technology Research and is the world's first eVTOL aircraft ultra fast/ultra fast charging battery. This battery has the comprehensive advantages of fast charging speed, high specific energy, and long cycle life, which is suitable for the short range flight and frequent takeoff and landing of low altitude aircraft. The energy density of the system has increased by ≥ 25%, with a charging time of 5-10 minutes (30% to 80% of battery capacity) and an increase of ≥ 2000 cycles, reaching the D0311A and D0160G aviation level standards.
The battery system is the core component of an aircraft. Pei Feng, President of Guangzhou Juwan Technology Research Co., Ltd., introduced that the layout of ultra fast charging batteries for new energy vehicles requires charging to be as fast as refueling, and it is best for the power battery to be as light as the fuel tank. Low altitude aircraft have higher requirements for these two points, which are more sensitive and demanding.
The giant "marriage alliance" will collaborate on "low altitude" batteries
On site, Juwan Technology Research and Yihang Intelligence jointly held a strategic cooperation agreement.
Based on the leading advantages of both parties in their respective fields, both parties agree to cooperate in the low altitude economy of urban air traffic, and jointly promote the research and industrialization of eVTOL product power system component modules. Specifically, it includes three aspects: power batteries, related charging stations, and energy storage.
In terms of power batteries, around Yihang Intelligent eVTOL products, both parties will jointly develop eVTOL power batteries that meet the airworthiness standards of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, as well as high energy density, high charging and discharging life, high instantaneous charging and discharging rate, and high safety.
At the same time, both sides will gradually carry out the co construction of infrastructure such as overcharging piles and stations, laying an ecological foundation for their low-cost, large-scale, and high-efficiency commercial operations, and constructing a future transportation blueprint with a new paradigm of low altitude economic innovation and development.
"The ultra fast/ultra fast charging battery of low altitude eVTOL aircraft is a new category of power batteries, and its launch will greatly improve the endurance and charging efficiency of eVTOL." The person in charge of Juwan Technology Research stated that the application of ultra fast/ultra fast charging batteries in low altitude flight scenarios has opened up the era of extreme charging for eVTOL.
It is also revealed that Juwan Technology Research is not only providing ultra fast charging battery products for Chongqing host factories, but is also discussing with the Chongqing Municipal Government the layout of the entire ultra fast charging facilities in Chongqing. At the same time, plans are also being made to allocate production capacity to Chongqing, which is currently being promoted.
