On April 24th local time, General Motors of the United States stated in a press release that based on customer feedback on OnStar intelligent driving services and confusion about the consent process at registration, the company has decided to discontinue the OnStar intelligent driving system on all General Motors models and cancel all customer registrations. General Motors stated that they have terminated their partnership with third-party remote information processing companies LexisNexis and Verisk. Any data sharing with these companies ended on March 20, 2024. In addition, Alisa Bergman will join General Motors as its new Chief Trust and Privacy Officer on April 29, 2024.
