On March 31st, Danahe and the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Management Committee signed a strategic cooperation agreement, jointly building the Danahe Western Innovation Center project to serve pharmaceutical research and innovation transformation in the Chengdu Chongqing region.
It is reported that as part of the project, Danaher will also establish a Life Science Research Institute here. This is the third research institute established by Danaher Life Science Platform in China, following Shanghai and Guangzhou, to serve the development of cutting-edge application methods for biopharmaceuticals and precision medicine. At the same time, Cytova, a subsidiary of Danaher, will also establish the Situofan Western Science and Technology Innovation Center to carry out biopharmaceutical process technology development, talent training, project incubation and transformation, and health economics evaluation.
The company introduced that Danaher Western Innovation Center is the first Fortune 500 multinational pharmaceutical enterprise project introduced by Chongqing Liangjiang New Area. At present, the Liangjiang New Area is taking the life and health industry as a pillar industry, following the development concept of "one city, two parks, and two centers", accelerating the construction of three iconic industrial clusters of medical devices, biological products, and chemical preparations, as well as three emerging industries of new traditional Chinese medicine, new services, and new healthcare.
