On March 21st, sources informed that Unilever is collaborating with bankers from Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase to inquire about the interest of private equity investment groups in Unilever's ice cream business. Unilever recently announced that it will spin off the business.
It is reported that negotiations are still in the preliminary stage. According to insiders, Unilever's ice cream business is globally leading among similar businesses, with a valuation of approximately 10 billion to 15 billion euros if a deal is reached.
Unilever's new CEO, Sima Han, recently stated that splitting the ice cream business into an independent company and going public is the most likely choice. If the plan is confirmed to be implemented, the listing destination will be determined within the next 18 months. (Financial Times)
