Beijing Business Daily (Reporter Liu Yang and Liu Xiaomeng) On March 13th, General Motors announced the retirement of Gerald Johnson, Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing and Sustainable Development, who has been in office for 44 years, and Jens Peter Clausen will take over. Johnson will continue to stay at General Motors until the end of this year and collaborate with Clausen to achieve a smooth transition.
Meanwhile, General Motors announced that Mike Abbott, Executive Vice President of Software and Services, will step down due to health reasons. The current Vice President of Software and Services, Baris Cetinok, has been appointed as the interim head of software and services.
