After the US stock market closed, Broadcom announced its performance for the first quarter of the 2024 fiscal year, with total revenue increasing by 34% to $11.96 billion and earnings per share reaching $10.99, both better than expected. However, the semiconductor division's first quarter revenue was $7.39 billion, lower than analysts' forecast of $7.7 billion. Affected by this, the stock price of Broadcom plummeted by more than 8% after trading, and later recovered lost ground. It is understood that Botong is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI boom, and its chips are essential for building AI hardware infrastructure. After a 105% surge in stock price in 2023, Broadcom's stock price has risen as high as 25% since 2024.
