On March 1st, a Beijing Business Daily reporter learned from sources close to Alibaba that Alibaba CEO Wu Yongming announced in an internal letter to all employees of the Local Life Group that Yu Yongfu, Chairman and CEO of Ele.me, will step down from his management position at the end of Alibaba's fiscal year (March 31st) and continue to support Alibaba Group's international exploration as a partner. The two major businesses of the local lifestyle group, Gaode and Ele.me, will respectively have a chairman and CEO. After the relevant adjustments take effect, Wu Zeming will serve as the Chairman of Ele.me, and Han Liu will serve as the CEO of Ele.me; Liu Zhenfei, former President of Gaode, serves as Chairman of Gaode, while Guo Ning serves as CEO of Gaode.
