On February 26th, Tesla CEO Musk responded to a post from an X user on social media platform X. The user compared the gross profit per cycle of major electric vehicle manufacturers such as Tesla and BYD.
The user stated that Tesla's gross profit per cycle is $7000, BYD is $1300, NIO is negative $35000, Ford is negative $36000, and Rivian is negative $46000. "Despite Tesla's price reduction of about 35%, they are still in a leading position (and may always be)."
Regarding this, Musk replied to the user's post saying, "It's very interesting."
