The United Nations and world leaders on Thursday urged immediate aid to the Gaza Strip as the humanitarian crisis faced by 2 million Palestinians further worsened as they attempted to escape Israel's deadly airstrikes and struggled to find food, water, and fuel in the almost completely besieged Gaza Strip.
Earlier on Thursday, US President Joe Biden stated that the United States has reached an agreement with Egypt and Israel to deliver 20 trucks of humanitarian aid to Gaza as soon as Friday.
The United Nations warns that the situation is becoming increasingly desperate. A spokesperson for the Hamas controlled Gaza Ministry of the Interior stated that thousands of injured people exceeded the medical capacity of Gaza hospitals.
While promoting the delivery of aid to Gaza, the Israeli Defense Minister stated that a ground attack on this enclave may be imminent. The Israeli military has instructed residents in the northern Gaza Strip to flee to the south. The Israeli military is preparing to launch an expected difficult ground attack with the aim of ending the rule of Hamas, which is recognized by the United States as a terrorist organization.
