On January 30th local time, US technology giant Microsoft announced its second quarter revenue data, with gaming revenue of $7.11 billion becoming the third largest business unit. Data shows that Microsoft's revenue for the quarter reached $62.02 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18%, with the gaming department's revenue reaching $7.11 billion. Thanks to a significant 61% increase in revenue from Xbox content and services (included in XGP), Microsoft's gaming division has become the third largest business unit within the company after Enterprise Cloud (revenue of $23.95 billion) and Office (revenue of $13.47 billion), surpassing Windows operating system revenue.
