On January 31st local time, US District Judge Alan Winsall approved Florida Governor De Santis's request to dismiss Disney's lawsuit, stating that Disney's lawsuit lacked basis. In April 2023, a supervisory committee appointed by De Santis declared the agreements reached by Disney invalid, which retained most of Disney's control over the land near its theme park in Orlando. Disney believes that this is improper retaliation against the company and has sued De Santis.
