Amazon Web Services (AWS), a cloud platform under Amazon, announced on Thursday that it plans to invest $10 billion to build two data center complexes in Mississippi to expand its cloud service capabilities.
As more and more enterprises use new artificial intelligence technologies and the demand for cloud services continues to grow, they are doubling their investment in artificial intelligence development.
The majority of global traffic will be managed through the cloud infrastructure of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft's intelligent cloud platform Azure.
A few days ago, AWS announced an investment of over $15 billion in Japan, while Google also announced spending $1 billion to build a data center in the outskirts of London.
Amazon stated that under the coordination of the Madison County Economic Development Agency (MCEDA), AWS will establish multiple data centers in two industrial parks in Madison County, Tennessee, USA, and is expected to create at least 1000 new job opportunities for the state.
Since 2010, Amazon has invested $2.3 billion in infrastructure in the state, including five distribution and sorting centers.
