On January 23rd, it was reported that Apple has lowered the initial order quantity for OLED panels for iPads from 10 million units to 7 to 8 million units. It is expected that the supply scale of LG Display will decrease from a total of 6 million units of the original 11 inch and 12.9 inch models to 3 million to 4 million units, while Samsung Display will supply 4 million units as planned.
Previously, Apple had been using LCD panels on all of its iPad models, but this year's two Pro models (11 inch and 12.9 inch) will use OLED panels for the first time. (Korea Asia Daily)
