Before the start of pre ordering on January 19th, Apple will not disclose all the details of the Vision Pro's configuration options, but MacRumors has exposed the situation of the items inside the Vision Pro's packaging box.
Vision Pro Head Display: The main component of Vision Pro is this head display, which uses eye and hand tracking technology and is equipped with multiple cameras and sensors. Each eye is equipped with an ultra-high resolution display screen, and both sides are also equipped with speakers and EyeSight front screens. The headset also has at least 256GB of storage space, which can be used to store applications and audio and video files.
Solo Knit strap and Dual Loop strap: These two types of headbands are designed specifically for user comfort and personalization. The Solo Knit strap is a single strap wrapped around the back of the head. The Dual Loop strap features a pair of adjustable upper and lower straps for personalized wearing.
Light sealing component: The light sealing component is made of soft textiles, which may have various shapes and sizes and can be bent to fit the user's face, achieving precise fitting. This accessory helps block external light and enhances the immersive experience of the headset.
Two light sealed pads: These pads come in two sizes, providing additional comfort and shading capabilities, ensuring a tight fit to the face and preventing light leakage.
Front glass cover: This cover can protect the front glass of the earphones from scratches and damage when not in use.
Polishing cloth: used to clean the lens and front glass of headphones, without causing scratches or damage.
Battery pack: The external power supply of the earphones ensures longer usage time and portability. Apple claims that the battery can provide 2 hours of general usage time or 2.5 hours of 2D video playback time on a single charge.
USB-C power adapter: This adapter is used to charge the battery pack of headphones and can also be connected to an external power source to meet the long-term use of the device.
USB-C charging cable: A cable used to connect a headset or battery pack to a power adapter for charging.
Vision correction lenses: Optional optical lenses will be provided for users who usually wear glasses, but these lenses are not included in the packaging and need to be purchased separately, starting at $99 (approximately RMB 710). Apple collaborates with Zeiss to customize lenses based on each individual's visual condition.
These lenses are magnetically attached to Vision Pro lenses for precise observation and eye tracking. Users need a doctor's prescription to order online on the Apple website.
Apple announced that it will conduct in store demonstrations during the release of Vision Pro for customers to try out. The demonstration seems to last for three days, from February 2nd to 4th local time in the United States.
According to the files related to Vision Pro in the application development tool Xcode 15.2, Apple's upcoming Vision Pro headphones are equipped with 16GB of memory (RAM). This is the same amount of memory as the Vision Pro development kit released by Apple during testing in 2023.
Currently, Xcode 15.2 has officially added support for developing vision OS applications, and Apple now accepts these applications through the App Store Connect.
Apple announced that the Vision Pro will be equipped with an M2 chip to achieve "powerful independent performance", as well as a brand new R1 chip to "handle inputs from 12 cameras, 5 sensors, and 6 microphones, ensuring that the content feels like it's in front of the user's eyes."
Apple also stated that the Vision Pro comes with 256GB of storage space and may offer higher capacity storage options. During last year's testing period, some Vision Pro development kits were equipped with 1TB of storage space.
