Amazon is reportedly in talks to invest in Diamond Sports Group to expand its sports streaming business. Diamond Sports owns local broadcasting rights for nearly half of the Major League Baseball (MLB) and NBA teams, as well as about one-third of the National Hockey League (NHL) teams. It is reported that if the agreement is reached, Amazon's Prime Video platform will receive years of streaming rights for these competitions.
