Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman announced in an article on December 9th that the product design manager for Apple's iPhone and Apple Watch will resign.
According to insiders, Tang Tan, the current Vice President of Apple's Product Design, will resign in February next year, leading to "the company's most critical product line restructuring.". Tang Tan reports to John Ternus, Senior Vice President of Apple Hardware Engineering, and the department is reportedly restructuring its responsibilities to handle transition matters.
According to reports, as part of the reform, the responsibilities of several deputies of John Ternus and Tang Tan have been expanded. Richard Dinh, the head of iPhone product design, will report directly to John Ternus. Kate Bergeron, the hardware engineering supervisor in charge of the Mac team, will take over the design work of the Apple Watch.
Mark Gurman posted earlier this week that insiders revealed that Steve Hotelling, a senior executive at Apple responsible for touch screen technology, health sensors, and Face ID interfaces, will resign.
