On December 7th, Taiwan's Central News Agency announced that TSMC Arizona has reached a new cooperation agreement with the Arizona Construction Industry Commission (AZBTC) for the construction and equipment installation of TSMC's Arizona wafer plant, including union training, communication channels, and on-site personnel configuration.
TSMC pointed out that the specific cooperation content reached by both parties includes four aspects: strengthening personnel training and development. Among them, in terms of global manpower layout, TSMC Arizona will focus on recruiting local employees in the United States. In some cases, TSMC needs to hire foreign construction personnel with special experience.
In addition, both parties have decided to reach open and regular communication. In order to ensure that TSMC Arizona and AZBTC fulfill their agreed priorities and commitments in accordance with the spirit of the agreement, both parties will establish a committee and hold quarterly meetings. The members will be designated by the AZBTC affiliated union and designated by TSMC Arizona and the contractor.
