On December 7th, at the 2023 World New Energy Vehicle Conference (WNEVC) held in Haikou, Hainan Province, Ping Ping, the General Representative of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office in China, introduced that Abu Dhabi has launched a series of new policies for new energy vehicles this year, including subsidies for insurance and parking costs for new energy vehicles, and 70% of local public sector vehicles are replaced with new energy vehicles.
Ping Ping introduced that Abu Dhabi hopes to attract more Chinese companies to settle in the local area. At the same time, the Abu Dhabi Sovereign Fund has also increased its investment in leading Chinese new energy vehicle companies such as NIO.
