On the 25th, a Tesla collided with 11 vehicles in Longquanyi District, Chengdu, causing 3 people to suffer minor injuries and multiple vehicles to be damaged. The Tesla owner involved, Mr. Wang (pseudonym), publicly stated the next day that the root cause of the accident was not himself, but rather the Tesla he was driving. On November 27th, Tesla responded to questions from netizens: through checking backend data, it was found that during the collision in the video, the accelerator pedal of the vehicle involved was pressed 100% deep, and the speed increased from 54km/h to 132km/h at the time of the collision. The driver did not press the brake pedal within 2 seconds after the collision in the video. We are currently actively cooperating with the traffic police and relevant departments in accident identification, including submitting relevant vehicle data. The overall situation and responsibility determination of the final accident shall be based on the report issued by the traffic police.
