The Dutch government issued a new regulation on export control of semiconductor equipment on June 30th. Dutch lithography giant ASML stated in a statement to Southern Finance's full media reporter that these new export control regulations target advanced chip manufacturing technologies, including state-of-the-art deposition equipment and immersion lithography systems, not all immersion DUV lithography systems.

It should be emphasized that the new export control regulations issued by the Dutch government only cover TWINSCAN NXT: 2000i and subsequent infiltration systems. In addition, Asma's long-term outlook is based on global long-term demand and technology trends
TWINSCAN NXT: 2000i is currently the most advanced immersive DUV system in Asma. According to the new export control regulations, Asma needs to apply for an export license from the Dutch government in order to ship this model of machine and subsequent immersion lithography systems. The Dutch government will decide whether to grant or refuse an export license and will provide Asma with details of the conditions attached to the license.
At present, Asme's EUV lithography system has been restricted. Asma will continue to comply with applicable export control regulations, including those of the Netherlands, the European Union, and the United States.
The new export control regulations issued by the Dutch government will take effect on September 1, 2023, before which Asmarco will begin submitting export license applications. The Dutch government will approve or reject these applications based on specific circumstances.
"Based on today's announcement, we believe that these regulatory regulations will not have a significant impact on the already released 2023 financial outlook and the long-term outlook announced on November 2022 Investor Day," said a spokesperson for Asma.
