The Central Bank of Argentina announced a 1500 basis point interest rate hike on the 12th, raising the benchmark interest rate from 118% to 133%. This is the sixth rate hike by the Argentine central bank this year. The Argentine National Institute of Statistics and Census released a report on the same day, stating that Argentina's inflation rate in September was 12.7%, the highest level in a single month since February 1991. The cumulative inflation rate in the past 12 months has reached 138.3%, and the cumulative inflation rate since the beginning of this year is 103.2%. The market expectation survey report released by the Central Bank of China in September predicts that the country's inflation rate will reach 169.3% in 2023.
