According to regulatory documents released on Tuesday, Scion Asset Management, a hedge fund managed by Michael Berry, the prototype of the movie "Big Short", ended its bearish bets on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 indices last quarter, but began to short semiconductor stocks. According to the documents, Scion purchased 100000 put options on BlackRock iShares semiconductor ETFs in the third quarter, with a nominal value of $47 million.
