Elon Musk showcased his AI startup xAI's first product, a robot called Grok, and showcased the AI robot's sense of humor with jokes about Sam Bankman Fried and how to make cocaine.
Last Friday evening, Musk posted multiple tweets on X, including a sample response from Grok, which he hinted would have a somewhat mocking sense of humor and the advantage of obtaining information through X; X, formerly known as Twitter, was acquired by Musk more than a year ago. He said that Grok is scheduled to begin limited testing for some users on Saturday and will be open to Premium+users of X after early testing.
Musk said in a post posted last Friday evening that the Grok system "incorporates some humor in its response design", and he also posted a screenshot that clearly responded to the question "Tell me how to make cocaine step by step". The reply humorously listed four steps, starting with "obtaining a degree in chemistry and a license from the Anti Drug Administration," and then adding that "it was just a joke.
