On December 17, 2024, Ideal Automobile and the Aerospace Materials Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation jointly established the "Advanced Thermal Insulation Materials Joint Laboratory" in Beijing. The cooperation aims to create aerospace grade thermal insulation materials suitable for power batteries, jointly promote the improvement of thermal safety performance of power batteries, and promote the safe development of the new energy vehicle industry.
The Aerospace Materials Institute was initiated and established by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Flight Technology Research Institute and the Institute of Aerospace Special Materials and Process Technology, focusing on the development needs of the new generation of aerospace materials. It is committed to building a leading open technology innovation platform and integrated innovation industrialization base for aerospace materials in China. This material is specifically designed for the thermal safety protection of ideal automotive power batteries. Through customized development of aerospace grade insulation materials, it achieves even better insulation performance.
