With Trump winning the US election, almost the world's attention is focused on Trump's governing plan. However, current US President Biden is still preparing to tidy up his political legacy before handing over to Trump and plans to take action on land protection, amnesty, and artificial intelligence issues in the last few weeks of his term.
In a memorandum to allies, the White House has released key areas of action that Biden is preparing to address urgently before the transfer of power. However, it is worth noting that many of his measures may also be immediately overturned by Trump after the transfer of power.
Biden will focus on four key areas at the end of his term
This memo was drafted by White House Communications Director Ben LaBolt. The memo states that the Biden administration will make a series of efforts in the final weeks of its term to commemorate his legacy.
Rabert pointed out that the Biden administration will release measures in the following four key areas:
1. Artificial intelligence, but Rabot did not provide specific measures.
2. Provide new financial incentives through the 2022 Computer Chip Act, the Inflation Reduction Act and the state high-speed Internet funds;
3. The memo states that Biden will "continue to take action to protect our land and waters, and work with state, local, tribal, and business leaders to continue our climate goals
4. New commutation and pardon. Rabot did not provide a detailed explanation, although the White House does not rule out attempting to pardon these individuals before the Trump administration's retaliatory efforts to prosecute senior Democrats.
Last week, Biden delivered a speech on his economic achievements and hosted a conference on women's health. In addition, the Biden administration's Environmental Protection Agency announced a $735 million reward for clean energy vehicles - which may be an area where Trump will change course in the future.
Rabot also praised Biden's governing performance in the document and stated that some of the efforts will take several years to bear fruit.
President Biden and Vice President Harris have planted seeds in the past four years that are beginning to sprout, and their potential will be fully unleashed for a long time to come
Lambert also praised the final agreement of the Biden administration's nearly $6.2 billion subsidy to Micron, stating that the subsidy will promote the development of the US semiconductor manufacturing industry and is expected to create thousands of job opportunities in factories in Idaho and New York.
Currently, Trump is preparing to issue a series of orders after taking office, some of which may be issued immediately on his first day in office. And some of these commands may specifically target key elements of Biden's agenda.
