On Friday local time, Judge Katherine St. John McCormick of the Delaware District Court issued an order allowing Musk and Tesla's board of directors, which approved the 2018 compensation plan, to appeal their January ruling to the Delaware Supreme Court within 30 days.
At the beginning of this month, McCormick decided to uphold his ruling from January this year, stating that Tesla's board of directors was too influenced by Musk when approving his compensation plan in 2018, and once again rejected the compensation plan. It is reported that the initial valuation of the compensation plan was $2.6 billion, which had risen to $56 billion by the time the judge cancelled it.
