Amazon confirmed on December 12th local time that the company will donate $1 million in cash to the inauguration fund of US President elect Trump and will also live stream Trump's inauguration ceremony on its Prime Video service.
Meta Platforms recently confirmed that it has donated $1 million to Trump's inauguration fund. This is different from the past practices of Zuckerberg and Meta. The US federal campaign finance report shows that Zuckerberg has been supporting congressional candidates from both parties for many years and has largely not participated in presidential campaign donations. Public records show that neither Zuckerberg nor Meta donated to Trump's 2017 inauguration fundraising committee or Biden's 2021 fundraising committee.
