Apple will use Amazon AI chips to pre train its proprietary models. Benoit Dupin, Senior Director of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at Apple, stated that Apple uses Amazon's Inferentia and Graviton chips to support search services, and compared to x86 chips, Amazon chips have improved efficiency by 40%. Du Ping also stated that Apple will use Amazon's latest Trainium 2 chip for pre training its proprietary models, and it is expected that using the Trainium 2 chip can improve pre training efficiency by 50%.
