At this year's CIIE, Micron Technology showcased products related to data centers, clients, mobile phones and applications, and automotive and intelligent edges. Wu Mingxia introduced, "In terms of data centers, we exhibited high-performance, energy-saving, and scalable memory and storage solutions to support efficient operation of data centers. In the client field, our products are used to enhance user experience and provide higher performance for daily computing. In terms of mobile phones and applications, our products provide higher performance and energy efficiency, helping to optimize the design and functionality of mobile phones. In the automotive and intelligent edge fields, our products can meet strict functional safety requirements in extreme environments
At the same time, Micron and Longi Green Energy held a cooperation signing ceremony, and both sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of sustainable development, jointly exploring innovative models and solutions.
Over the past 20 years, China has grown into one of Micron's largest markets globally. Meguiar's operations in Chinese Mainland cover Xi'an, Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen, and a comprehensive service system covering development, design, manufacturing, sales and support has been established.
Among them, Micron's Xi'an factory has ranked first in the total import and export volume of Shaanxi Province for 17 consecutive years, focusing on the packaging and testing of DRAM chips, as well as module manufacturing.
Shanghai, as a research and development design center, also has customer laboratories, forming a comprehensive base integrating research and development, testing, sales, and service.
Beijing has established a customer laboratory equipped with professional sales, marketing, and technical support teams to meet the needs of customers in North China. Shenzhen also has a customer laboratory that covers sales, marketing, and professional technical support, catering to the needs of the South China region.
In June 2023, Micron announced an additional investment of RMB 4.3 billion in Xi'an to enhance the production capacity of its Xi'an factory, including the construction of new packaging and testing facilities. Wu Mingxia revealed that the new factory in Xi'an will accommodate more advanced packaging and testing equipment to meet the needs of Chinese and international customers. The new factory in Xi'an will also introduce a brand new production line to manufacture a wider range of product solutions, including but not limited to mobile DRAM, NAND, and SSD, thereby expanding the existing DRAM packaging and testing capabilities of the Xi'an factory.
The new factory in Xi'an broke ground in March this year, and by November 2nd, the main structure had been successfully topped out. We hope to build the Xi'an factory into Micron's first sustainable development center for packaging and testing manufacturing. Looking ahead, we will continue to invest in China and work with local and global partners to help promote the development of Digital China, "said Wu Mingxia.
